Notes

This image appears to have been taken from farther away and from a different angle and vantage point than sackett_138. Mount Iuktas was an important religious and cultural site to Minoan civilization because of its proximity to a Minoan settlement. Furthermore, it is roughly 13 kilometers from another significant archaeological site at Knossos. The highest point of the peak is about 2661' in elevation. Today, it would be about a 5 km hike to the top, though the archaeological site is usually not open to the public.
