Notes
Delphi, situated in mainland Greece on the southern coast, is a major archaeological site and believed to be the home of Pythia, a famous high priestess and oracle. The city housed multiple treasuries that contained spoils from battles and other valuable objects, so a gold plaque would not be out of place amongst these artifacts.
