This is a view of a valley on Naxos with a river running through the background and a bay. This image was taken from above the village of Apóllon, a small village in the north of the Island. This is an image of the coastline of the Bay at the settlement of Náxos, Nísos (the abandoned settlement), not the actual archeological site.

Notes

Naxos is both the name of one of the largest islands in the Cyclades and the name of the polis located on that island. There is a Myceaean town which the Archaic and Classical city was built on top of. The island has been inhabited since the Neolithic age.
