Notes

Kommos in this case refers to the Minoan settlement which began excavations in 1976. The site included a flourishing harbor during the Bronze Age. It is located on the southern coast of Crete. Kommos is a costal settlement. The original label on the slide reads: "Eleutherae/ Kommos," but the beach is recognizably at Kommos.
