Notes
Milos island is a volcanic island in the Agean sea, part of the Cyclades. It was the Aegean Sea's main source of obsidian and prospered in the Neolothic and early Bronze Age. The Ancient city Trypiti/Plaka overlooked the bay of Milos. We know the city was propserous from the 8th to the 6th centuries BCE because the cemeteries at the site.
