The site is descriped as "below Viannos." Both Ano (Upper) and Kato (Lower) Viannos are towns in south Crete, very close to one another. The label indicates that this is "Platon's" site. Both Nikolaos Platon and Lefteris Platon (his son) are well-known Greek archaeologists who work on Crete, but the date indicates that Nikolaos Platon (1909-1992) must be the excavator referenced.
