Notes
The statue was damaged in a fire around the middle of the 5th century and buried along the Sacred Way opposite the Halos in Delphi. It is believed to originate from a Corinthian workshop and is possibly a part of the Apollonian Triad of chryselephantine statues that Herodotus identifies as being votives made by the King of Lydia, Croseus. The series comprised of a statue to Apollo, Artemis, and Leto. The Museum of Delphi has recovered the statue of Artemis, but the statue of Leto has not been found.
