Notes
The differentiation of plots of land in the valley suggest the purpose of farm land. Naxos is the largest island a part of the Cyclades and has been known since ancient times for producing high quality agricultural products as its regarded as the most fertile island in the Cyclades. Some of these exports include potatoes, olives, and wine. The island boasts massive vineyards. Additonally, while it is hard to determine where this picture was taken from the image alone, the island of Naxos has the highest peak in the Cyclades, and this slide exhibits the mountainous terrain of the island as well as the ample room to farm with its expansive valleys.
