Notes
This Neopalatial Minoan town, Gournia, on the island of Crete, reveals the increased size both in population and area of Minoan towns during the period, specifically this town which was prominent during the Late Minoan I era. Many of the houses built at Gournia would have been made of perishable materials like timber and mud plaster so the stone foundations are what remains. This view of the ruins of Gournia also reveal the crowded configuration of homes within the town, utilizing shared party walls and various different building plans.
