Notes

This western vantage point of the Acropolis provides the best view of the Acropolis as most of the builidings on top of the hill are in view. The way that the Athenian Acropolis is situated allows one to see a building from virtually anywhere in the city below, exemplifying its strageic built up positioning which conveys important symbolism, especially for the patron goddess of Athens, Athena, to whom the Parthenon was dedicated.
