In 1960 many artifacts were recovered and each and every one can help to provide clues as to how the lives of the people of Knossos were. The original label reads: "Knossos '60 RR North Well III Rn. George & Amphora." RR indicates that this is the Royal Road excavation. George may be George Talbot, pictured in sackett_196.
