This image of the Throne Room at the ancient site of Knossos shows an interior space with stone walls, and floors, there are also beams holding up the roof and a large basin in the middle of the room. The space is open to the outside hilly terrain and also has benches along the walls and a throne.

Notes

The image may show the antechamber to the Throne Room, rather than the Throne Room itself. The throne room has also been reconstructed by Arthur Evans. This throne room was in the palace of Knossos and would have been used for ceremonial purposes. The large basin in the space was used for ritual purification.
