Entitled Their Art and Their Influence: Native American Art in the Contemporary Art World, the exhibition, curated by Jane Eskildsen '19, will celebrate the influence of Native American art from the twentieth century to now. The artists protest traditional styles and demonstrate how impactful, unique, and modern Native American art can be, shattering misconceptions that have been in place for centuries. The exhibition will include work by Oscar Howe (1915-1983) and JoAnne Bird (1945-), and more.
